Welcome to Tea Rose Photography

I won't lie and say I have always been a photographer

Hi there! My name is Katie Farra, I am the owner and photographer here at Tea Rose Photography. No, I am not the "I always knew I was going to be a photographer" type. I tried my hand at a few careers before figuring out my calling with photography. However, I am definitely the mom who always has her phone out taking candid pictures of her kids though. When I say always, I mean running out of memory on every phone within months of buying a new one. I have to take pictures of them all the time because I am one of those moms who is obsessed with her children. I love everything about my babies, all three of them. So cherishing each moment through pictures is just so important to me. When my youngest daughter Acionna Scarlett was born, my obsession with pictures became so much more than that! I decided to start learning everything I could about photography and newborn portraits. She was so tiny and precious at 6 pounds 4 ounces when she joined this world, that I had to give her a fitting nick name to match the amount of beauty and wonder that she possessed in such a tiny little package. She became my sweet Tea Rose. So, knowing I needed to follow my passion, I built Tea Rose Photography from dreams. I worked and continue each day to work at learning new techniques and building my knowledge of photography. Taking workshops from world class photographers and online courses to hone my skills, I never stop making myself better.

I truly do have a love affair with my camera and it doesn't have to be my Cannon or Nikon. I love to whip out my phone or Instaprint camera too. I remember being 5 years old and making my brother pose on his skate board for pictures with my Barbie Glitter Star Point&Shoot outdoor 110 camera. I was always the first kid to run out of pictures on their disposable camera on field trips too, haha. I just love to make memories and immortalize them through photos. One day, photos may be all we have left of someone or of someplace that meant everything to us.
